The Bean Lab at Arizona State University specializes in the untargeted analysis of volatile metabolites, which means that we focus on discovering the small, gaseous molecules that living organisms produce. These volatile organic compounds (VOCs) carry chemical information that can be used by organisms as signaling molecules, and that can be leveraged by us as biomarkers. We are excited about both!
